What kind of degree program?

So I'm just too impatient to wait to speak with a counselor at my school (my appointment is 2 weeks away!) so I thought I'd ask here in hopes for some answers.

I'd like to build and manage websites (or something similar) with a Bachelors degree in my pocket. The degree program that seems to match with my desire is an AAS Internet Services Technology but then what kind of Bachelors degree do I move on to at a University/College? Is the AAS I mentioned the right one for me?

Don't go into communications, you'll get passed over by every computer science or cis person there is looking for employment. You want a Computer Science or Computer Information Systems degree from a school that specializes in technology, like MIT, or UCLA. AAS/IST is a good step in the right direction.

It Technical might be the fastest. Seen the commercials, have you played the latest new video games? NOT! cause it has yet to be invented by you, the inventor/software developer.

what your talking about is visual communications B.S., that also comes in an AAS as well.

Be very careful, not all AA degrees are transferable to a BA or BS degree. If going to a junior college, look at the university you plan on going to, such as the one mentioned, UCLA, and see what the transfer requirements are. Most junior colleges offer the first two years of general education. That means it covers all the GE requirements for transfer but not necessarily the requirements are for your AA. I got my AA and transfer requirements but had to attend for an extra semester because no one told me this. Although my concentration was in Graphic Design my AA ended up in Arts and Letters which got me into the University. Don't get me wrong, you will need prerequisites but these are different for every university. For example you need two years of college language or four years of high school courses to get into any University of campus, including UCLA, but at the California State University system, you don't. Go to your counselor or junior College transfer office and look up the requirements before you commit to anything, besides many, many people change their majors, before their third year and sometimes after.
As for your answer. As I said I was an art student with a concentration in graphic design. In game design you want a background in art, but with web design AND maintenance you'll want a degree in computer science with a minor in art. Good Luck
