Working for Verzion Wireless as a Part-Time Sales Rep...What's your input?

Hey everybody. I am currently in Washington, D.C. and I am very interested in working for Verizon Wireless as a part-time sales rep, as I am still taking classes this summer. However, my question is how is the PAY? I would really appreciate if an current or a recently employee would comment. I want to know what was the general hourly pay and could you break down the commission percentages? I have already worked in sales for 3 years, about 2 1/2 of those 3 years I was working at BestBuy as a cell phones sales rep, so I am already familiar with the work enviornment, product, services etc. of a wireless company. I am just very unsure of what the pay is looking like. Could someone please help me, because none of my friends seem to know this answer. They all just say they get paid a lot, but they fail to understand that a lot to them may be a little for me.

I have a few friends that are in the telecommunications industry that direct sale all the major cellular phones and plans. They make an incredible amount of money in their business. You can work with all major providers and not just one. Something to think about there. The income opportunity in the telecommunications industry as a business owner running it out of your home, has more opportunity making money monthly off of a one time sale then just an employee of one company. From what I've seen anyway.

Verizon is a very good company to work for, but if you have sales experience, why don't you look for something more... like telecom sales through Comcast?

I know there benifits are to die for. That is one reason why I would go to them. My brother works for them and it depends on how well they take care of there customers.
