When have you experienced bad customer service??

I need some exmaples of bad customer service. The purpose is to answer this question when applying for a job, but i personally have never experienced bad customer service. and cant answer it to good effect.

Numerous times - when I am in a shop being served and the person ignores me to have a conversation with their colleague or starts serving someones else at the same time, does my head in.

Or my phone company - ring their customer service get told to go to the shop, so I go to the shop and get told to call customer service and they can't do anything with my phone in the shop!!! Really wasn't happy that day.

Or you order something in a restaurant and get given the wrong thing - this happens alot for me as I always have something but without the cheese or whatever and I get it with the cheese.

I could quite happily go on about bad customer service but for now I wont. Feel free to ask though if you want more examples.

Bad customer service is any time the customer is not treated as if he or she is important. If they are treated as if they make no difference whatsoever to the people they have chosen to do business with, that is bad. To ignore, disrespect, not try your best to resolve an issue, serve with a negative attitude, etc., are examples of poor service. It seems standards have changed nowadays, because I see this kind of behavior often. It's as if the employee is doing people a favor for being there, instead of wanting to do their job because they are getting paid for it.

I ordered a meal at a restaurant. After what seemed an eternity the waiter returned and informed me that the item i ordered, was not on the menu that day. I chose another dish and waited patiently. When the waiter brought me the meal, after another long wait, it wasn't what i had ordered. When i refused to accept it and was prepared to walk out, the manager said that if i didn't accept the meal i would still have to pay for it. We eventually reached a compromise and i ate the meal paying half price for it. Needless to say, i didn't leave any tip and i certainly never returned to that restaurant.
