Ok, what about people who deliberately leave their phone on and ANSWER it during the church service? |
I think that's disrespectful to God and the congregation. And no, they aren't doctors! Even doctors are not always available to take a call. What about the word of God being sacred? I guess cell phone calls are just more important for some people. Some refuse to turn their phone off, because they say "no one is going to call me"--then when someone does, they answer it anyway!!! I don't think there are very many people that are SO important that the world can't leave them alone for an hour or so. How do these people go to the bathroom? Do they answer the phone in there as well? Can you tell that I think it's very rude? Very rude! Even worse when they answer it. In my church there is a woman who had her phone on, and on three different occasions, she answered. Got up from her seat and left the sanctuary talking on the phone. Yes it's rude. I think if I were the Pastor, I would make a little announcement before services start, and ask everyone to please turn off their cell phones, or not bring them to church anymore. That is rediculous. Maybe they should pass around a cell phone offering plate for everyone to put their cell phones in before service! I think that they should be asked to leave the service. Simple as that. |
