Believers...is it better to attempt to live a life of service..and fail, than to not make the attempt at all?

Now, non-believers.....the same question...do you think it is better for the believer to attempt to live a live of service to their
God and mankind and fail....than not to try at all......?

Yesterday...I answered a similar form of this question..asked by a non-believer...He chose my answer...which indicated that I try to serve both God and man...but fail often...but I continually try again...only to fail..at other times. His response was....

"That is the way of a believer." I am not sure if He meant we, as believers should not try...or that we as believers...should be perfect...and aren't...

Folks...I am not perfect.

God knows our hearts and motives as to why we do things. On Judgment day for Christian's that will be disclosed.

Therefore, if Christian's just do things because they think they can get "brownie points" with God, they are mistaken.

And it isn't because God doesn't like brownies (Hahahaha...kidding).

Oh, I agree with you that the effort definitely counts for something. I think that as we mature in our faith, we should start seeing more "successes", but by no means are we ever going to be perfect.

Yes...I believe the only time we fail is when we don't try!
