Bank of America Customer service Rep I?

HI, I am apply for a job at Bank of America for Customer Service Rep I in Concord, California. I want to know from people who work for Bofa how much is the starting salary if I might ask? I people could kindly answer me. I know it kinda confidential. Only reason why I ask that I want to know what kind of salary I should ask for. I heard once you get a salary it hard to get raise. I don't want to short change myself. I want to know if it is a good job. I know customer service work is stressful. I work for a major cellphone company for over 5+ years as a sale rep and now want to change. I feel I am not moving up. Dealing with customer complaining about their bill is driving me nuts. People complaining when they have a high bill. They always say they never make the calls and that we put extra calls on their bill. It is time for a change for me.

Oh no. I would not, personally. By Customer Service Rep, I assume you mean working at a call center? I live in that area and worked at a local B of A branch, and my Sales and Service Specialist came from the call center in Concord. It was a mess, people got fired and let go regularly for corporate political reasons, and along with dealing with customer complaints, the managers were always looking for a reason to let people go. They are strict on breaks- ie, a 10-minute break is literally a 10-minute break, and not a 10-minute and 5-second-long break.

Anyway, my SSS got so fed up that he transferred over to my branch so he could be with different co-workers and deal with customers face-to-face. It was a pay cut for him (call center pays well from what I've been told), and he said that he missed the call center's transportation benefits where they paid for half his commuter costs (or something like that), but it was well worth it in the end.
