What do you think of the Nebrask Attorney General and his decision NOT to give free legal service to illegals?

The illegal alien proponent moron answers at the end of the column with this oxymoron gem "Even if a person is here illegally, we should enforce the law."

Those services are there for legal citizens. He understands the wording and is complying with the law. I think it is good.

Not only that, but he turned down a case that appeared difficult to win. The couple wanted to sue because a potential landlord asked to see ID (drivers licenses) before renting them an appartment. When they refused to show ID, they were turned down.

The premise for the lawsuit is that they were turned down because of their race - and that white people wouldn't have been asked to show id. Last I checked, EVERY landlord asks to see ID - you're entering into a year-long contract worth thousands of dollars...of course you want to know who's on the other side of that contract.

The AG made a prudent decision.

he is in a tight spot, if an american was to rob and rape this couple wold he prosecute the bad guy or would he say sorry you happen to be illegal so i have to let this guy go until he does it to a legal citizen. if this couple were to be the only witnesses to horrific crime and only their testimony could convict the criminal would he refuse their testimony? because there is an immigration beefit for illegals that are witnesses to certaintypes of crimes. i am not saying that he should help this couple and if i was in his position i would not want to furnish free services for the same reason he cites, just that he is bringing an important issue to light, better to solve this now than when something really tragic does happen.
