Can I apply to be a police officer if I go to school for community and justice services(corrections?)?

hello, I need specific answers please.

I will be attending a 2 year college program (community and justice services) in the fall 2008. I am a 38 year old female (bi-racial) I wanted to know what would be the best in terms of police departments to look into ex: Toronto ,Vancouver, and what about NYPD or LAPD? Thank you for all serious answers:)

does my age make a difference? by the time I will finish college?

I don't know the answer, but what I would do is search the website of each of those police departments or the city websites. If you are a US citizen, Canada might be out - they have requirements for immigrants that you might not be able to meet. [It can be very hard to get a work permit for Canada.]

Your age may well be a limiting factor, but you would need to check with the specific police departments. You may or may not need any college to apply.
