What is terms of service?

Please answer this verrrry important question: To have terms of service for your service, do you have to LEGALIZE it or make it LEGALLY BINDING in a court of law? Or can you just write one up (with or without the supervision of a lawyer), and have someone agreee to it so that if they break it legal action may be taken against them?

A term of service is a formal agreement between the user of a website usually or a service and the management of that group/site. It is legally binding in that you accept the T/S when you agree to use the site/service. If you are suing a website, you agreed to the t/s, and breaking the t/s leaves you open
