Help with Pantech Duo: Screen Stays Black, Keys & Sounds Work?

About a month ago I recieved the Pantech Duo. 6 days after I received it, I was playing a game on it and the screen just went black. I tried turning off the phone and turning it back on, as well as taking out the battery, but the screen still wouldnt work. When I got home, I tried calling it from my house phone, since the keys would still light up and the sounds was working. The phone would still receieve calls and answer calls fine. I called cingular's customer service, they said there was no damage to the phone, but since i bought the phone off E-Bay, they pretty much couldnt help me. The phone eventually work again the next day, but the screen would still flicker as if the backlight was broken. I kept turning it on and off again, and eventually it was perfectly fine.


Last night, the screen went out again. Its been over 24 hours, and it hasn't gone back to normal.

Please dont tell me I'm stuck with a $300 broken phone?

I have no answer for you but when you find out please let me know because my Pantech C810 (Duo) did the same thing. I was in the middle of texting one day and my phone's screen went black but my phone still does everything (turns on, listen to music, and receives & dials calls). I called Pantech but they need a receipt or proof of purchase and I also bought mine's off Ebay so I do not know where in the heck I could get a receipt! I only had mines a month as well, and I am very disappointed in the short life of the phone. I'm going to try sending mine back to the manufacturer though, its worth a try with no receipt!
