Do you think there is a way for me to see grandchild? |
My son got killed 2 years ago in motorcycle wreck.he and this girl were living together.she put him threw alot.she had a baby said it was my sons.I kept little boy alot before my son got killed.she presented the child as his at service.Now she will not let me see the child or answer my letter or phone calls.I miss him terriably.she told someone he not my son.but didnot tell me.what can i do/ Get a Lawyer. It may be costly. But, you need to get a lawyer and take her to court for visitation rights. If she has your son on any legal documents, birth certificate, as the father of her son file a motion for visitation. Grandparents are being granted visitation just as parents are. Before that however be sure you have keep the lines of communication open between you and her. Maybe just drop a gift off for the child. Maybe a gift card for the mother to help with bills. Offer to babysit a girls night out, or invite the mother out for a girls night out. Remember patience. If she is receptive to any of these them slowly increase your actions until you are in.
