2001 Mustang V6 Problem with Engine? |
Just recently i felt a sudden change in my 01 V6 mustangs performance. I was driving a felt the car shake/vibrate a lot more than it should. Also the service Engine light will blink continously. I get this very weird smell coming from the car to. And as for the exhaust, i have twin exhaust tips and i hear a weird noise coming from the right exhaust tip. If anyone knows what is wrong with my car please answer. I have 40 flowmasters that i have recently put on the car, less than 6months ago. Also the only think i can relate the smell to is something like a kind of burnt firework. It sounds like you have a spark plug problem that has clogged a catalytic converter. Do you still have the same performance or is it lessened? if it has lessened you need to pull your plugs immediately if one is broken replace the engine. If the smell is like burnt sulfur...or rotten eggs it is probably your catylitic converter plugging up. Sounds like it could be a catalytic converter failure to me. Sometimes, they clog up and block air flow, causing your symptoms. |
