I am creating a website where every user can register for free and do few things, but I will make money by displaying ads on the website. So do I have to buy a MySQL commercial license for that? No, you don't as long as you don't actually distribute any mysql components. This is a little easier to understand, Yes, You are using the site to make money hence it's commercial use. The MySQL website has all the information you need for obtaining a license. |
