Army Vs Navy?

Okay i was set to enlist in the army. Tahn someone told me the great things about the navy. And the fact that my job choice (medic) is in both services.

What can i expect from Navy boot camp ( no stupid answers pls) I am aware the training is shorter than the army and not as pyscially challenging.
What types of training will i expect to do?
What types of weapon training?
Any other info would be great.

Im 50/50 at the moment as i would like to do bot, but i think my personmality is more navy suited.

Navy bootcamp is cupcake this day compare to a decade ago, they all had new indoor faclities, you don't even to match to the galley(cafeteria) cause is all in the same building of your barrack, GYM is indoor, nearly nothing outdoor except from one indoor to another indoor... Those barrack is much nicer with AC and bigger bed, more space than previous, I live both type of barrack old and new. Physical Training Bootcamp is not hard in navy, even if you failed; you just extended time to pass it. Some people stay bootcampf or 1 more year just trying to pass the swim test. The only weapond training navy bootcamp require you is use the 50mm pistol, not hard if you familier with it. Easy task. Navy and Army biggest different, is the navy focus their traing about the ship while army more into combat area. You see that in bootcamp training. But after bootcamp is what it matter than most, navu offer you more type of choice in term of very different career, but army most job had somethig to do with combat. Medical whise navy is better, cause navy corpsman(medic) can serve with Marine Corps, marine don't had its own medic is depend on navy, many job navy work with marine. So that's a plus side, if you want some combat experience. After all, Hospital Corpsman is probably the most famous job in the navy beside Seals the get the most medal of honors not seals, well seals kinda come in late.

You've been given a basic idea of Army and Navy Bootcamp. Something that you need to research is the difference between Army Medic training and Navy Corpsmen training. Consider this. The Marine Corps has no medics, they use Navy Corpsmen. In every line/combat platoon, you'll find a Navy Corpsman. Navy Corpsman training is intense, especially when you get to Green side (Marine as opposed to Blue side - Navy).

That's about all the info I can give you. Army training is much more difficult than Navy training so far as boot camp is concerned. But you aren't worried about boot camp, you are worried about Medical training. it depends on whether you go as a combat medic or not. Think about and research those things.

basic training in the Navy is more like a week in Disney land
and the Army's is not much worse , seriously the service is what you make it , I retired in June of 2005 with 22 years of service
