Anyone on here that does not live in America....please answer this.? |
In your country (and please state your country when you answer) when you call and get an automated answering service do you have options like Press 1 for German Press 2 for English or Press 1 for Japanese or Press 2 for English? not complaining per say.....just wondered if American was the only that catered to another language other than our own. South Africa: English, Zulu, Afrikaans, Xhosa + 7 others. im in england and we dont have anything like that. im french and live in germany althoug im in the states right now, I'm an Australian living in the Netherlands. Im from New Zealand and we generally have the same thing but with alot more language options! :) I'm in canada and ours say "press 1 for english, presse numero 2 pour francais" no our country accepts any language .......no barriers......it is the citizen who has the preference not the country..... you should check out Switzerland - 3 languages! German French Italian I'm Swedish and I live in Germany, and even though most of the time I don't understand half of what the telephone lady is saying, she doesn't say anything about that. Here in Belgium we have three official languages : Dutch, French and German. So if you phone any national administration you have to choose. Lots of companies use on top of that English internally, so there you will to choose between four languages. And if you phone any EU organisation, you will have 30+ official languages to choose from. I am in germany and american. some do here. many of the bigger companies we use have german and english numbers to call or they state everything in german then english . train ticket machines give options for other languages. hi,i live in jordan;its press 1 for arabic and press 2 for english.i used to live in israel.it was press 1 for hebrew,2 for english and 3 for arabic. i from malaysia our national language is malay language actually there's lot of languages in my country but we didn't given option at the first the operator just speak malay and then speak english. |
